Description
This is a beautiful large, detached stone barn located in a small hamlet in the commune of Chapdeuil, in the heart of the French Dordogne countryside. The solid limestone barn has an oak timber roof with large oak industrial entrance doorways, as well as smaller door entrances for personnel.
The building dates to being built around or considerably older than two hundred years ago.
This is an ideal barn to be developed as it already has been classed as residential (although will require full renovating to live in) with the French authority for over 20 years, so planning should be straight forward for a fantastic grand design.

Market village of La Tour Blanche
Two kilometres away is the picturesque market village of La Tour Blanche which has full amenities including a good general store, post office, bakers, café, bar, and restaurant.
The Dordogne region
The Dordogne region is full of beautiful castles and picturesque towns and villages, such as nearby Bordeilles and Brantome on the banks of the beautiful river Dronne.
The Dordogne has beautiful Romanesque Perigueux as its capital which is steeped in history from Roman and prehistoric times.
Nearest train stations
Nearest train stations are Perigueux and Angouleme which have a regular bus joining both, passing through the stunningly beautiful market town of Brantome.
Before lockdown it was possible to gain public transport all the way to La Tour Blanche. (Train times from Paris to Angouleme are under two hours for the fastest trains).
The Bordeaux wine region
The Bordeaux wine region is a relaxed day trip drive away with the stunning town of
St Emilion, which is a delight to visit.
The nearest airport
The nearest airport to the property is at Bergerac operating regular flights to the UK. Bordeaux has a larger main international airport offering connections to the UK and further afield.
